Task - Your Director has asked you to compose the music for the following scene. Your group will be given a genre that you have to compose for by Mr Hoddinott.
Use the film footage and the Cuesheet that you looked at in previous lessons.

Organise what instruments you need for your genre and who in your group will play them. 5mins
Use your Cue-sheet to plan your composition. 10 minutes
Put together your chord progression. Is it Major or Minor? Are you using concords or dischords? Use chord progression ideas from songwriting and try adding diminished/augmented chords. See the chord diagrams and video below.
Experiment with putting your chord progressions together.
Add your melody. Are you using a Leitmotif?
Review your work can you improve it. Is it effective?
